The South Hills deserves great bagels, and we hope to make them for you. Balena Bagels comes from a lifetime of baking, a pandemic obsession with bagel-making, and a deep love for our community. The word Balena means whale in Italian, and whales symbolize power and strength. Our Italian, Jewish, and North African cooking traditions influence our products.
